JOURNAL POLICY
- 1. Editorial Policy WAJAHS is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to publishing high-quality research in all areas of Allied Health Sciences. All submittedd manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening, followed by double-blind peer review.
- 2. Scope of the Journal WAJAHS publishes original research, reviews, case reports, short communications, and commentaries in fields including:
- Nursing
- Medical Laboratory Science
- Radiography
- Physiotherapy
- Public and Community Health
- Nutrition and Dietetics
- Health Information Management
- And other allied health disciplines
- 3. Manuscript Submission
- Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere
- Manuscripts should follow the WAJAHS Author Guidelines and be submitted electronically to: editor@wajahs.org (inaugural edition) and subsequently through a portal created by authors
- The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that fall outside the journal's scope or fail to meet submission requirements
- 4. Peer Review Policy WAJAHS follows a double-blind peer review process:
- Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent experts.
- Authors will receive feedback and may be asked to revise their manuscripts before final decision.
- Reviewers remains anonymous throughout the review process.
- 5. Publication Ethics WAJAHS adheres to international standards of ethical publishing (COPE guidelines), including:
- Prohibition of plagiarism, data fabrication/falsification.
- Mandatory conflict of interest disclosures.
- Ethical approval for studies involving human/animal subjects.
- 6. Open Access Policy All articles in WAJAHS are published under an open access model. Full texts are freely accessible on the journal's website without subscription or payment.
- 7. Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain copyright of their work.
- Articles are published under Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0), allowing redistribution with proper attribution.
- 8. Archiving and Indexing WAJAHS will be archieved digitally and is working toward indexing in reputable academic databases (e.g, African Jouranls Online, DOAJ, Google Scholar).
- 9. Frequency of Publication The journal is published biannually, with issues released in June and December.
